Whether you are a home owner wanting to know if your property contains asbestos before you set about your D.I.Y project, or a business owner seeking compliance with Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012, Remco Environmental can provide you with the appropriate type of asbestos survey for your premises and help you on your way to being legally compliant or just being safe in your own home.

Management Survey

Its purpose is to locate the presence and extent of any suspected ACMs in the building which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy, including foreseeable maintenance and installation, and to assess their condition. Management surveys can involve a combination of sampling to confirm asbestos is present or presuming asbestos to be present. This type of survey will often involve minor intrusive work and some disturbance which may result in minor damage to décor etc.

Refurbishment & Demolition

Refurbishment and demolition surveys are needed before any refurbishment or demolition work is carried out. This type of survey is used to locate and describe all ACMs in the area where the refurbishment work will take place or in the whole building if demolition is planned. The survey will be fully intrusive and involve destructive inspection, as necessary, to gain full access to all areas, including those that may be difficult to reach.
